Educational scope

BECOME provides educational, preventative, and developmental programming. Programs, outreach, workbooks, discussions, and activities are educational in nature and are designed to support reflection, life-skills development, emotional wellness awareness, and personal growth.

Services BECOME does not provide

  • Medical treatment
  • Mental health therapy or counseling
  • Legal advice or legal representation
  • Crisis intervention or emergency response services beyond basic safety steps
  • Emergency shelter placement or guaranteed housing services

No professional-client relationship

Participation in BECOME activities does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, attorney-client, or medical provider relationship.

Participant autonomy

BECOME provides information, structured support, and publicly available resources. Participants remain responsible for their personal decisions and actions.

Safety and reporting

BECOME prioritizes participant safety. If credible concerns arise involving immediate danger, abuse, neglect, or threats of serious harm, BECOME representatives may need to follow applicable reporting or safety procedures.

Emergency situations

BECOME website forms, emails, and social media messages are not emergency channels. If there is an immediate safety emergency, call 911 or contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service.
